Dr. Libby Rhee is a board certified dermatologist specializing in general and cosmetic dermatology in Manhattan, NY. She treats patients of all ages and is particularly passionate about developing a unique and tailored approach to address each of her patients’ needs in order to help them achieve their skin goals. Dr. Rhee’s philosophy is to help her patients age beautifully by slowing down the skin’s natural aging process through cutting-edge, non-invasive techniques.
Dr. Rhee is a Michigan native and received her Bachelor of Arts degree at Kalamazoo College followed by her medical degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She completed her postgraduate dermatology residency training at St. Barnabas Hospital and Mount Sinai in New York City where she served as chief resident during her final year. She always knew she wanted to “be a doctor in NY” from the time she was a young girl and loves getting to know her fellow New Yorkers with each visit.
With a passion for travel and experiential education, she has done research at UCLA, studied abroad in Strasbourg, France and later spent a period of her dermatology training at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center in Tel Aviv, Israel. She believes in improving the lives of those both near and far, and has been involved in medical volunteer outreach in rural areas of Florida, Ecuador, as well as Masai Mara, Kenya. She has also worked with the American Academy of Dermatology and the Indian Health Services to bring dermatologic care to the Navajo people in Chinle, Arizona. When she’s not working, Dr. Rhee enjoys spending time with her two adorable mi-ki dogs, traveling, reading, working out, exploring new restaurants, and spending time with friends and family.
